Buying history

What do Elvis Presley, Muhammad Ali, David Beckham, Robin Williams and Woody Allen have in common? They are all ‘owned’ by billionaire Robert Sillerman.

Sillerman's company, CKX, owns the publishing rights of all of these guys. CKX, the first two letters come from the slogan "Content is King" and "X" is something that Sillerman threw in from his middle initials. His rationale seems to be to capture icon names and all the associated content.

"It's a baby boomer play," says Vogel Capital Management's Harold Vogel. "Baby boomers have a lot of money and time as they retire. You can play that through the pharmaceutical companies, so why not this? They've got to have fun, too."

I have read the article in USA Today, that contains these snippets, and I am still not sure I understand the linkage between CKX and baby boomers. Maybe I am missing the obvious.
