Savings account for over 50s

Norwich and Peterborough Building Society is about to launch a new 50 Plus Savings Account. The account doesn’t seem to offer anything special to the over-50s other than a good rate of interest. What more do you want of a savings account other than a decent and guaranteed rate of interest?

What is interesting is that the account uses a passbook, unlike many high interest accounts that are card or Internet only.

Looks to me that Norwich and Peterborough Society have done some hard thinking about their customer base and come up with an attractive product. Dick Stroud
